Short Wave Listening

Sometimes one discovers these beautiful gems in the depth of the internet. Occasionally I enjoy listening to shortwave broadcast stations on my little TECSUN PL660 portable radio which is an amazing radio for little money. So i was looking for a good source of a global program schedule and ran into the beautiful software RADIO EXPLORER..

Radio Explorer

Radio explorer is a Java application which works flawlessly on my Mac and should run on any Windows or Linux based PC. It reads EIBI schedules which can be downloaded from here.

Short wave Info

If internet connectivity is available, another great source of information is Short Wave Info. It too can filter schedules by station, time and broadcast language. As it runs in a browser, the information can also be accessed on an iPad or iPhone portable device.
