Galvas main purpose is to handle scales of instruments. It can create scales for potentiometers, linear or logarithmic, background scales for analog instruments, circular scales and many other things like the below attached SWR calculation disk, a very useful tool for radio aficionados.

It is controlled using a simple command language and comes with hundreds of sample files. The menu itself can be selected to use English, the command language however has a couple of French words in it which are still very easy to learn.
